o.k sorry for this but i am new and it probably has been "done to death" before , what do you feed your birds when there are youngsters in the nest , i want them to grow well and just fly round the chimneys . thanks

i use cowngate just add a scoop to the water everyday morning and night and on the evening feed and when i wean the ybs they get it in theirs drinker for the first 4 wks

sma gold is what i use , mixed with oil into a paste then dried on the corn over night

hi mate i have tried getting butter milk but no where seems to have it. Where do u get yours thanks

Food aint a lot o' good if the digestion is poor so grit is very important natural pickstone for me

plenty maples , protein,  i,e baby milk in water, ie sma white [more satisfying for the hungrier baby ;D ;D ;D well it says that on the tin ;D] plenty fresh grit minerals pickstones ,infact anything they want , they know whats best themselves ,,, the adults will leave the maize when yb,s are growing fast!

When I wean my y/birds over I sieve out all the small grains/seeds from the mixture. I do this so what they eat has substance (hate squeakers running round wings open just picking up small seed)I do this for around 7 days then feed them a breeding mix with pellets and a little barley added.
