Lennut Tar
I USED LAYERS PELLETS 4 A COUPLE OF SEASONS BUT I NOW FEED BEST ALL ROUNDER (3 SCOOPS) WITH GROATS (1 SCOOP) AND IN MY OPINION IS AN EXCELLENT BREEDING MIX. So do I !!!!!!!!!!! (chicken layer pellets) for me when breeding, 10 to 20 % type thing. Now !!!!!!!, for those that may find there birds will not eat them etc, just mash them up & place it all in their water. Terrific amount of vitamins & minerals etc in them & it all helps ;D ;D ?????????????. Enjoy.

kraftykev
Hi all I was in the pet shop today buying my corn when a bloke came up to me and stated that he feeds his pigeons on chicken layer pellets and that you need no other food supplements. Is this ok and if so do you feed them on it all year round. I must admit i bought 500 grams to see but not sure my birds will eat it. Kind regards Kevin Spencroft lofts

micci
I feed them at the rate of 15% until racing begins, then 5%, always get nice sturdy youngsters, John Crowder recommended these to me in the 80s, won quiet a bit racing with them too at the rate of 15%, the birds wont over eat them as they always leave them till last. gorsy bank lofts
i supplement the feed when rearing with pheasant growers pellets,or layers pellets, high in protein easily digested and fed to youngsters. they take awhile to get used to them but readily take them after a while. i just put a pot of them in each nest box when laying/rearing, youngsters look great on them. they do come medicated for worms/coxi ect usually says on label called febenvet. but can also come with no additives. dont feed them when racing dont know why really would perhaps help fed on sun/mon after racing may try it next year. gamekeepers will have them march to sept normally for there birds. as i get them free dont know why i dont use more of them . atb lyndon

I often wonder what happened to all that 'banned' stocks of pellets at that time, did a lot of it end up being sold as 'pigeon' pellets?
