retired Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 Have just been on the phone to Brian from Pigeoncourier.co.uk and he has informed me very regretably that he is calling it a day with the courier service in the early new year due to his continued poor health making the job very difficult for him to undertake. Brian has been fantastic with the many jobs he has completed for us being on the end of the phone from early morning until late at night and then on the end of PM's also. I cannot thank him enough for the brilliant service including arranging a solo run of 3 jobs for us on a Sunday - booked at 11.30pm on the Saturday - Portsmouth to NE Lincs on a Sunday soley for £90.00. Anyway enough of making his head grow big - I hope if and when he sells the business that the new owners continue with the high standards the man has set.

whiteknight Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 No nicer man will i meet in the courier game all the best to him.
Guest Jargre- Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 Have to say as an ex Courier that Brian was and is the salt of the earth, he is one of a very small amount of couriers who ran things by the book, others claim they do but don't, it will be a sad loss for the fancy now yet another good courier has gone. Look after your health Brian mate, its more important than a few quid in your pocket.
Guest lenwadebob Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 Very sad news as I have been very closely associated with Brian over the past 9 months helping him with Norfolk and Suffolk pick ups and deliveries. Brian you will be sadly missed, you provided a fantastic service. I know more than most mate, but your health must come first. God bless you my friend and hope your health improves. Please keep in touch. It has been a pleasure to work with you

Guest Posted December 20, 2009 Report Posted December 20, 2009 This is very sad news but i know Brian has had health problems recently. It's a hard business to be in with the long hours and mileage as we have discovered. It's been a pleasure to have worked along side you Brian, your a great bloke. All the best for the future. Have a good rest, you deserve it. Julie and Dave UK Pigeon Couriers

I have spoke to Brian over the phone but never met him. I will tell everyone that i have never heard anything bad said about him or his service so that says he was one if not the best out there. If you read this Brian well done mate for what you did & i wish you all the best for the future im sure there will be alot of fanciers that will miss your service but as already stated your health comes before it so take care mate it was nice to have spoken to you. I would also like to add that Brian must be one of the only couriers i know who would give another courier a ring if he couldnt do the job to try & make his customers happy. Good luck mate.
greenlands Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Sorry that you are in poor health mate and can not continue with you work,I wish you all the best over the festive season and more so for better health in the coming New Year. Lindsay C.

Liz and I will agree on that wholeheartedly, he has been a fantastic courier as he has picked up a lot of the birds we were selling and we found him to be the best courier we had the pleasure of using, nothing was too much trouble for him so he will be sadly missed, so from me and Liz at Silk Hill you will be sorely missed Brian and the best of luck for whatever you do in the future.
jakjak Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Very sad to hear this. I have used Brian many times, and often recommended him.
