Guest frank dooman Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 i think ally forrest(ratho) has some of his best and is winning with them maybe round o can confirm that
Guest IB Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 His was one of the birds I looked at at Blackpool a few years ago, excellent record at 700 miles. Passed it over for 3 others, none of which did anything / left anything, obvious bad choice on my part. Also modelled my loft on his from photos in BHW : end on approach where birds main entrance was at gable end, and internal layout to suit that.
Guest strapper Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 wilf is a very top distance fancier...lives about 18-20ml from me.

Guest stb- Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 I have had quite a few from wilf over the years, nice pigeons. have had them out of endurance pride of wales and his other top birds. not cheap but nothing like a £1000 a pair
les Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 yes he does sell birds ,but just remember ,he has put a whole life time into these birds ,the rubbish is soon lost because of the way he trains and races them ,he is a very genuine person ,and a gent ,my advice would be to ask if he has a pair out of his stock loft that he might consider selling ,i know that there might just be a pair or two for sale at the moment ,because he is introducing a few birds that have done well for him into the stock loft ,so he will have to make room ,he will keep winners racing untill he is happy it was not just a one off ,if you need a contact number PM me .ATB les.
hotrod Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 I have had quite a few from wilf over the years, nice pigeons. have had them out of endurance pride of wales and his other top birds. not cheap but nothing like a £1000 a pair rab im only telling you what i got told but then again the guy that bought them said to wilf i want that one and that one ,he picked them out and wilf reluctantly sold them .ps the guy that bought them has now bought some race horses. so if he said to wilf how much is that (dogie in the window) and wilf said ? then thats how much he paid . money was no object
Guest stb- Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 no im not saying he didnt pay that,, it was for the guy who wanted to buy yb from wilf im just saying that he dosent charge £1000 a pair for squeakers , prob about £100+ from his stock loft, didnt want to put the guy off ;D ;D
Guest Owen Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 I have visited Wilf's place twice a few years ago. It is a beautiful place. The down side was the number of Goshawks around there. They are a really bad problem for Wilf.
