11 flights

my brother in law bred a pigeo last year with 11 flights in one wing and 10 in the otherany of you had this happen and did  you have any succes with  it?

i have a hen i bred this year just the same 11 flights on one side she done very well has been to 250 miles all ready as a youngster will keap my eyes on her next year

often get 11 flights in both wings from some of my kirkpatricks, oldyellow has had the same.

Years ago i knew a fellow with a lot of 11 flighted pigeons. Some had 11 one side and 10 the other, but the majority had 11 on both sides. This was because the Guy bred for 11 flights. I think you will find that the gene for 11 flights is dominante.

He was a very good flier.

I had a Starview Busshy direct from John himself bout 94ish.. and it had 11 on one wing.. never done much tho.. and it bred a another doo that also had 11 on one wing..lol... that never done much either..

 

Think they were all plant food not long after that..

I have one - 11 flights on one wing only - my first experience of this, thought it would have been both wings. Doesn't seem to interfere with flying.

We had a hen with 11 each wing won twice out of beauvais but never known 11 & 10

i have been in a lot of lofts handled 11 flighted birds some good some bad  i have only ever handled 3 double 11 flighted cks and all 3 where crack producers

Had a wee hen that scored well in the Y/B National then went on to win a couple o races, but unfortunately lost her this year. She had 11 on one side 10 on the other.

Me too, I breed them every year and its usually off the same line of pigeons.

2 of my very best breeders have 10 in one side and 11 flights in the other and they have teamed winners out  

I have also bred 11 flighters in both wings from differant pigeons but they haven't performed aswell  :-/
