That in my opinion was when louella had birds worth buying, some fantastic champions there, class pigeons.

Hi roland.

Im not going to get into the louella quality argument as this as been well documented on the site, just commented that when louis was alive was when they had better quality pigeons. Now i dont think there birds are that good but as i said this thread is not about this argument its about one of the greatest racing pigeons of all time and i just commented on the quality of the birds on the link that was provided.

this pigeon is down from invincible spirit i bought him from strapper last year lost him when i left stock door open. i would say £for£ invincibelle spirit is still the most expensive pigeon sold

i know he was a wee cracker.all is not lost the dark checker bussharte you sent as a gift stayed i only took one yb from him scored in club and fed and flew program .will take more than one next year

Stu, think the comment was the 100 odd £thousand' then would be worth more than Super ben today in reality. Of course inflation takes place constantly. As the dear ole cow thatcher would squeak hoarsely 'In real terms ....' ;D ;D

ive only ever seen one pic of invinsable spirit offspring that was from a local lad ian wheatley he had a direct son or granson off the bird dont no if it was anygood for him or allen.
