ribble Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Don't give up hope yet, we had a unflown two year old G'son of stamvater get out years ago, he turned up two weeks later. He was then raced and won!

Ive floated his eggs and tried putting his hen in a cage, he had a look for a while, but then was off. Will try this again tomorrow because he is a very dominant cock

showman Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 will be trying all sorts tomorrow to get him back. Ive been shining of house roofs with a torch but couldnt see him. Suprised the police havent been out ;D You be careful mate.......although I would love to hear you telling the police you were only stalking a pigeon !!! ;) ;D ;D
Guest spin cycle Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 will be trying all sorts tomorrow to get him back. Ive been shining of house roofs with a torch but couldnt see him. Suprised the police havent been out ;D i wouldn't do that...sometimes i use a torch in my loft and it really seems to spook them. IMO he's best left...its hard but it happens to all of us. if he's flown over the loft rather than 'bolted' you have a chance. best of luck.
Guest joshdonlan Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 no thought i saw him in with some other pigeons, but no joy

Guest anto Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 no thought i saw him in with some other pigeons, but no joy hang in there m8 there amazing birds had some go missing for weeks and found there way back
paul10121968 Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 pray mate, theres not a lot you can do. Hes either gonna come back or he wont. one thing i would always do is have a second door system inside the loft if you have prisoner stock, that way you never have a problem with that happening. I have been there myself mate and it aint good when it happens but you soon learn to make sure it doesnt happen again. Is he the father of the bird in the picture you posted. this is true.two of mine got out, managed to get one back in after a few days but lost the other.good luck to you i hope you get him back but keep those other birds out as much as you can especially around the time that you used to feed him.eventually, hopefully hunger will get the better of him and he will join the others and come in. Jas.
