Kirkpatrick crosses

Hi all

Probably not a great question without knowing the birds, but in theory would Logans or Jan Aardens be a suitable cross into Kirkpatricks.

Not intended for the racing basket but I would like them to be able to get home quicker than I can walk lol

had a Kirkpatrick x Jan Arden won 3rd club Lerwick 420 miles , and as for logan theres already logan in kirkpatricks if you want faster birds try the deweerdts

I've had a few Kirkpatricks over the years and they always flew the distance for me,Logans are another old family but Jan Aardens would be my choice.

from what i know about kirkpatricks,,,,there a plodder for the distance rather than speed merchants,,,,thinking from long ago now to the little i remember !

your both right too,,,,they never were speed merchants,,,,but at distance were first class as could not fault them,,,,,might be the odd bird was a sprinter as exception to the rules !

i have the jan-aardens and i have crossed them with the killpatrics this year

I breed Kirkpatrick x Jan Aardens. I sent a yellow kirkpatrick x  Jan Aarden to the RPRA 2009 oneloft race and she done well bless her, she flow every race and the final. A good cross with kirkpatrick is van hee.

Thanks Ken.... but unfortunately it's Mac that has them to cross, mores the pity. Who knows Ken, he may send us down a couple of pairs to see how we get on with them lol   ;D ;D
