tried the nest felts a few years ago but they seemed to dig out the middle of them and get them

i disinfected the bowles put some cheap cat litter in then treated straw from the pet shop

its perfect

A found out if you dont put them in to early you wont get the holes in the middle, maybe you put then in too early mate.  :-/

ive made them work as i new this year and i put straw in aviry or put it in end section let them work tobuild there nest

forgot to say i do use clay nest bowls but the straw is put on the floor and they help themselves ,

 

if they dont build nests then they dont breed here

i use straw it goes in plastic bag then it goes  in a microwave  kills all the little nasties and takes the moisture out

You must hay a spare microwave to carry this oot, cause the wan ave got is for heating things up, straw,the wife wouldnt be pleased wi me dane things like this is the hoose,  :-/

wrap bowls in newspaper then let them build ther own nest tab/stalk when finsh remove newspaper save ya from cleaning your bowls again
