pjc Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 welcome to the site. I would recomend having some birds from your dad and grandad if they are succesful as you will know the birds will perform to your area! When you are competing with them on a results level week in week out then is the time to seek out better birds but get the basics right first. Enjoy your birds!
Guest bernard_grizzle_smith Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 ok thanks for the advice ;D
blackdog Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 welcome young man, just do your own thing and you will learn as you go on, were all still learning, just enjoy your birds, winning will come in time
Guest bakes Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 welcome to the site bud if it was me and your dad/grandad birds are consistant ask them to breed you a few ybs as if they doing the job in your area i would keep to the same strain also i would go to the flyer that is constant in the top 3 in the fed each week iver youngbird or oldbird what ever raceing you are interested in set out an rutein and try to keep to it each day really you want a dry well ventilated loft vermin free give them the best corn you can afford ie versel larga bramford and clean water keep to one set corn your base mix and add to it through out the season ie breeding, raceing, and so on enjoy your birds keep them healthy and well motivated and im shore the result will start coming in mate dont be down when yiou start and your a few minutes behind the winning group keep to the same rutein and the results will start dropping into place i wish you the very best for the coming yb season all the best klaus
