Robert is Harry still going long time since i have seen him ,  early 90,s i think

I really don't know if Harry is still alive or even if he still has pigeons.

I agree he would be about 90.

I had birds from him in 1980 --I still know their ring numbers.

I would have guessed he was over 60 then.

I wonder if any of you who visited him saw the paintings of pigeons in a small hut.

There was some story attached to them.

There were many good fanciers in Lochwhinnoch.

Mulligan of Champion Susan fame, Jimmy Manders, Willie Love, Willie Holmes, The Wylies, Adam Train, Alex Vallance

Last but by no means least was the Beith man who showed them the way home---Wee Joe Aikman. He and I were good friends as teenagers and often drank the falling down liquid together on a Friday evening.

The rawle & thompsons had a touch of tommy newtons in them aswell

The Newton pair bred out & out sprinters early doors which were murdering the opposition but he was losing them on piece above 170 mile as were the lads who had them off him but the busschearts evolved and before long they were winning longer distances

Alan can you remember Neil Stubbs from Shildon he still holds the West durham Fed record we had a few of these as my father was a good mate of his he did not keep many pigeons but had 2 of the best stock pairs in the west durham amal

they were 2 hens from John palmer

1 direct busscheart cock from Gil Duncan

& 1 cheq cock from Tommy Newton

Neil committed suicide in the pigeon loft but when he flew there was nobody could beat him
