Guest bakes Posted December 12, 2009 Report Posted December 12, 2009 why do you want one that old ,it will come with all its bad habits you just might not like , very true get a younger one train it the right way if you going to be getting one at 1 year old at least make sure it comes with an trial out in the field i dont no the dog so cant say if its anygood but wouldnt go in there with the views of buying without seeing with my own eyes what it is capable of a lot of bull is said around lurchers my dog can take this single handed my dog took this amount in one night dont believe it until you have seen it with your own eyes just my views anyway.

chris h Posted December 12, 2009 Author Report Posted December 12, 2009 The dogs only 15 month and hasnt seen anything. And one at a year old has a lot to learn.I like to leave my lurchers till there 2 years old So they a mature enough. Then start there training out in the field.ie lamping ferreting.and mouching around.i know a lot of lads start with younger dogs, but at 2 years old works for me. I like to work on obedience and retrieving and recall. Before they start there working life. jmo
