Jim !!!!!!, what do you classify as a gale ;D ;D ;D as a matter of interest etc in your area  ;) ;) ;). Over here yesterday, we had winds up to 130kms/hr at times in some areas & boy was it wild & woolley. we had everything through the day, thousands of trees blown down, all over all over the place, many on to houses etc, buildings collapsing & utter chaose on the transport system & roads. Many are still waiting to get their power back on in there houses, & would you believe !!!!!!. We had a dust storm through the day. Come down from the Mallee  :D :D :D 150miles away up in the northwest. If those pigeons of yours had to cross the pond yesterday here  ::) ::) ::) there would be plenty of fat fishes swimming around, I could tell you that  :P :P :P for a certainty.

Enjoy.

130km/h or 80mph, just a windy day for us Scots, especially on the west coast ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

We start racing 19th April, seems a bit iffy, but even worse for those racing this weekend as it does not look too clever at all weather-wise Friday to Tuesday : rain, heavy rain, then a North Wind bringing sleet and hail beginning of next week.

Yes, I sure did Gangster !!!!!!. Truly an amazing site etc to watch on tv & one I would have loved & enjoyed to watch on site, if I was a local there I imagine.

I believe you Dovescot  ;D ;D ;D but I bet now  ;) ;) ;), you wouldn't have had all the trees blown down like we did here etc. chain saws are still going flat out in many areas here & will be for quite a few days yet  ::) ::) ::).

PS  :) :) :) Do you have any of those little gum trees (100ft + tall) hanging over your loft like I have  ;) ;) ;) here.

Enjoy.

Those would be the baby gum trees your talking about Lennut  :P, we have the big fellas over here, old, old trees that would consider a 100ft tree a mere upstart  ;D.

Was Sydney hit by any gales do you know ?

Biggest treeas i ever saw were in the Minnamurra rainforest, down the coast , past shell harbour about 2 hours from sydney, an incredible place to visit.

:D :D :D I did say  100 ft +  ;D ;D ;D Celtic, I will take you down to Tasmania one day. Boy !!!!!! are they big down there in places & Western Australia, down in the south west etc, they were huge the ones I saw a few years ago now over there.

Sydney escaped this time round, but they have been belted of late with the weather also but not this time. Tasmania took the worst of it, 170kms/hr winds in places I hear/see around Hobart etc.

;D ;D ;D This is all getting a bit of the track  :P :P :P "New topic" World weather report !!!!!!! All posts excepted  :'( :'( :'(. We have that "PMSL" again here, I'm afraid.

Enjoy.
