Big Davie Posted May 18, 2020 Report Posted May 18, 2020 Hate putting a downer on this but looking at the RPRA guidance on race marking issued today then most clubs will not be able to adhere to this, that's assuming the same or similar guidance would apply in Scotland, just my own thoughts on it but I can't see it happening at local club level
Roland Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 (edited) The best winners will come from those birds well rested. Old birds a like. If the old birds, same as the youngster, were flying with zest, great! If on the Tuesday/Wednesday they were flying 2 hours and tearing up the skies... Then they would be kept in and just sent to the races. Like wise I wouldn't toss either. Maybe I might send a few youngsters this season... Most likely, if wanting To race the youngsters, I'd split the youngsters and just race one half of them, or less. The other's would go straight into an old BIRD race next season. This year, if racing old birds, they would rested well. and then race, then rest and then race. Also would implement a Rota system. Edited May 19, 2020 by Roland
