Checked one of my barns earlier this eve. to see how many of my permanent open loft birds were in there and was well pleased to see a Barn Owl looking down at me, they are a beautiful bird.

they are .I had one fly past me at head height about 3 feet away and never heard a thing.so silent in flight

Would you have room for a few eagle owls in yer barn

Love them. Used to rear when it was lawful … But gave away because they need fur/roughage to survive.

Butchers meat scrap no problem. But catching sparrows etc. and culling I found that , not only did I dislike the thought, but couldn't do it. Gave to mate.

Many a night, walking in fields at dust, the screech owl would past silently over head or aside. Lovely to see, that's for sure.
