We saw a batch go over us, live on A7 7 mile southwest of Hawick they were heading towards Newcastleton/Langholm, unusual for us to see batches of birds. If you imagine an egg box that's what the hills and valleys are like, birds don't like crossing the hills so end up going down the valleys for miles before they find a way out. We were going to train as was sunny first thing, but quickly got full cloud cover and very windy. Hope the birds work their way back home. If we get any we'll report them.

Club mates who live to the east of Lockerbie high up on corrie common witnessed hundreds of birds racing south

Heard of birds reported in gretna and workington

They also worked back up through Moffat had 6 on house roof once they had taken a drink all headed north

Will collect any that comes in

It was a disaster, up in a South West wind they should be no where near dumfries, some being reported in Cumbria. Obviously turned by BOP. 10 hours after lib some guys had 3/41 1/26 2/20. My small team is decimated currently 4/12 haven't had a bird since midday yesterday
