Lifetimes Ambition Achieved

Congratulations to Andy Miller of Sighthill in Edinburgh who is the press officer for Pentland Hills Federation and New Lothian RPC in my weekly column. On Friday 28th June Andy achieved his ultimate dream of following in his hero’s footsteps; the late great Eddie Newcombe by winning the converted SNFC Gold Cup race from Burdinne. Andy timed 4 widowhood hens to win 1st 3rd 12th & 32nd open from a convoy of 1251 birds sent by 358 members. You will read more about these winning birds in my column when Andy has come down from cloud 9. I know many of his federation members and friends are over the moon for him as he is a tireless worker for the sport, well done once again mate it could not happen to a better person.
