BIGPETE Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 Once you report a stray pigeon to the relevant organisation and know they have received the email. How long do you think it acceptable to wait for a response before they are taking the p*ss?
BIGPETE Posted May 8, 2019 Author Report Posted May 8, 2019 Yeah I thought the same mate. Been 4 days now and zilch. I’ll give it another 3 days then let the *expletive removed* go. Sad though as could be somebodies stock bird or prize bird. But no wing stamp or Telephone ring and the organisations being useless, what are we meant to do?
Colin8 Posted May 8, 2019 Report Posted May 8, 2019 I have a ihu bird,I have been reporting since September,it has now been reported 3 times on line,by letter, and phoned and text the owner who lives in Dublin.but to no avail, shu said send a transfer and see what happens
Roland Posted May 9, 2019 Report Posted May 9, 2019 (edited) Again costs make a consideration as to what the owner, can and will do. I believe the R.P.R.A gives the owner 7 days to respond etc. However, as been plainly seen by all, no action will be taken against those that don't. Quite rightly so, Used to be the 'Lame Excuses'! Now, even that seems to be a burden. If- as years gone by, action was taken and members suspended etc. this so - call sport would be depleted substantially! Indeed to such an extent that the sport would flounder even more... a cost the sport can ill afford. Hence why no action will ever, or could be met. Mind I will - like most - get a bit peeved at some of the attitudes! Edited May 9, 2019 by Roland
W.D. Posted May 9, 2019 Report Posted May 9, 2019 Going by experience, think it depends on the Union that it's reported to?Had some fun with IHU South in the past, but the man was a real character, sadly he's now passed on.The Welsh had a very good lady doing there's.RPRA and SHI never had any trouble with.
