Guest Posted October 24, 2008 Report Posted October 24, 2008 If you were looking for top quality long distance pigeons, here they are, if i had the facility to keep prisoner stock this is the type of bird i would be looking at.If its distance you are interested in you wont get better. Damn right, if I had the money they'd be in my loft!!!

jonj1978 Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 i have a hen i bought of chris's off elimar last year. paid £100 for her paired her to an eric fox cock i bought off there the previouse year bred some corking ybs this year. as for the racing side they did over 10 hours on the wing as ybs from the last water race 330 miles i know its slow but they came back for the next year. rough day pigeons these. they will be going to all the national fc races next year except tarbes 720 miles but if i keep them next year they will be going to tarbes as 2 year olds. bring it on......
Guest Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 i bought a pair from david fox last year and they look/feel like the best pair i have ever bought and ive paid over £2,000 for a pair of birds 1 has all ready won 2 first at club level and iam realy looking forward to the next 3/4 years with them
Roland Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 A bargin? ;D ;D,what in hells name are you talking about, you make me laugh, chris gordon like the rest of us ,breeds plenty of crap along with the good,ANYONE who says different must have coton wool in his head breeding has always been a lottery, buying these MAY shorten the odds, but onlyslightly. :'( :'( Well Mate you are of course 100% right ... though them 'Culls' may well have the blood to breed a loft of winners. Loius Massereralla once said ' Buying from us doesn't guanrantee winners... but shortens the odds soewhat'! Then the to parts of the equation you also fail to mentionis A. Stockmenship and B. The fancier managering them! Further I'll throw in another, any birds can only be improved so much! Good or bad... so then, it follows that a better bird will always be a better bird in same hands. Then of course it is a fact, that you need 'Good' birds form any sauce, and the 'Nearer the tree the sweeter the apple'. Must have some bearing I feel. Yes every one has culls every year, but regards money, and what Chris Family is, then of course Franks are a bargain. Good to keep our feet on the ground though is also very true.
Roland Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Keep them Frank... sell the eggs! lol... may well be me and Allbear might be able to afford them lol. Yes of course in todays market they are of very good value.
Guest Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 spot on rolly between the gordons foxs and my own van eiden family iam lookung for big things in the next 3/4 years with all the above involved did you get anything from the cocks i sent down?
Roland Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Not as yet, but they are looking absolutely brilliant in the constant fresh air and the New Avery I have just finished building. So am more than hopeful.
Guest Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 good luck rolly it will take a bit of time but you know that all the best
Roland Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 Time is all I have, and very little of it lol. But hopefully in 3/4/5 years with your's, Albear's and the load I bought in of Frank Bristow I may well do well. I know I had good pigeons of off you and Albear. As for Bristow, I had the pick of anything I wanted within reason. Further I had Franks help regards his birds. No obligations, just straight forward talk as to what he thought and believed. Kipps, Thas, Cessearts and Coolemans all off their' directs. No pension left lol. Have some old stock of King's Delbar's, Pickering Jansens. Blues and Red Shallie's. But these are being fazed out.
Delboy Posted October 28, 2008 Report Posted October 28, 2008 spot on rolly between the gordons foxs and my own van eiden family iam lookung for big things in the next 3/4 years with all the above involved did you get anything from the cocks i sent down? Where did you get the Van Eidens from Frank?
Roland Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Whats the latest regards selling these?
