PIGEON_MAN Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 As anyone had any problems with putting the club system on Windows 10,been told by Unikon that I need a Black USB adaptor as the old cable will not work on Windows 10,as anyone purchased one of these and did you have to buy it from Unikon.
REDCHEQHEN Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 We have Windows 10 on club laptop, and have had it since Windows 10 came out. I can recall an initial problem but not what it was as I didn't deal with it, however it works fine - we only use the laptop for Unikon - I don't know what you mean about 'black USB adapter' as everything has a USB going into the laptop! Are you converting an existing cable or do you require additional USB points?
PIGEON_MAN Posted January 9, 2019 Author Report Posted January 9, 2019 I,m trying to put our club system onto a laptop with Windows ten my old laptop was on Vista. I rang Unikon and was told that I would need a Black Usb adaptor
greenlands Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 Your old laptop having vista on would probably be 32 bit, newer laptops are 64 bit.You might need to download a 64 bit Unikon programme, again older laptops will have USB 2,the newer ones could have both USB 2 and USB 3,they are compatible.

PIGEON_MAN Posted January 9, 2019 Author Report Posted January 9, 2019 I,VE downloaded the programme from the Unikon site no problem but when I connect the club base with the old USB cable it wont pick the base up.
REDCHEQHEN Posted January 9, 2019 Report Posted January 9, 2019 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Serial-Adapter-Prolific-Chipset-Windows/dp/B0753HBT12/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1547037072&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=usb+to+9+pin+serial+converter&psc=1 I think it's the above - serial converter or this one - with a longer cable https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075HB1ZLM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1J7UHHDUFQNRA&psc=1
