Kyleakin Lofts Posted October 10, 2018 Report Posted October 10, 2018 Very interesting Mike. What environmental changes occurred during the moult? Any change to the feeding, etc?

yeboah Posted October 10, 2018 Author Report Posted October 10, 2018 Very interesting Mike. What environmental changes occurred during the moult? Any change to the feeding, etc? Let him rear pair youngsters for first time ,when took hen away he completely fell to bits When moulding always all best high fats that are left mixed 50/50 with a mixture very simular to Gerry plus but better lol Baths with those Klaus crystals Good job he had not won big Andy Would have looked weird a champ in different photos

Have you used the crystals before? Have they affected any of the others? What was different for him? Reared a pair of youngsters for the first time and fell to bits after the hen was taken away. Had he been through a hard racing season? Did the nutrition go to building up himself after rearing instead of into feathers? Is the bronze a weakness in feather colour or is it due to an increase in rufus polygenes down to some feed supplement, an increase in iron or some such? Finally, interesting though it may be, does it matter? If the feathers are of good quality it shouldn't affect his racing next year.
blackswan Posted October 11, 2018 Report Posted October 11, 2018 I have seen this in young pigeons where they have changed from white griz to dark checker all in the genes.

Have used the crystals many times Andy he is the only one that has changed ,Excellent feather quality so no problems there .Good point regarding the iron as they did receive extra iron Just something i was studying regarding next years racing Seems many roads lead to Rome
