  1. here davy
  2. if its S.P.D.S. davy they went out of buissness at the start of the week
  3. derek your prob right in the fact that the returns would be better in a normal race with all the west and south west birds going together and the southeast ,east and north going together a lot less of the birds getting dragged all over the place but im saying how can it be 1 race when both libs might be facing diff conditions on the way home not just weather there might be clashing with one of the libs example 1 half has great returns near 100% the next half gets slaughtered with hardly any birds home jmo dave
  4. not in faviour of split libs for any of our national races if the first lib are up and away 15 or 30 minutes later lib 2 goes lib 1 is away and on the way home lib 2 hits rain and goes to ground or has to detour by miles to get round it or the otherway round and lib 1 hits rain to my thinking they are both flying 2 differant races with possibly 2 differant weather conditions enroute jmo
  5. not sure as to what that area covers frank but would hazzard a guess at about 280/300 fanciers north of stonehaven if there was a highland sec you may see some of the boys further north having a go but remember these boys would be flying well over 400 miles for the ybn at the moment they would be flying against boys over 100 miles south of them in section g and have virtually no chance of a ticket my point is that some of the southern sec lads are complaining of being in the same sec as someone 5,10,15,20 miles N,S,E,or WEST of them try being 50 to 100+ miles and in the same section sections should be set on area covered not how many fanciers are in it
  6. you boys must be having a laugh look at the size of your sections compared with the north section stonehaven upto wick/thurso also incorparating the outlying islands shetland etc prob the same size as all the other sections put together how about just 3 sections sec 1 everything south of the forth sec 2 everything above the forth upto stonehaven sec 3 everything north of stonehaven
  7. is this for y/bs or old birds or both from the 1st race or further down the road i dont think it would work with y/bs as they would be dragged all over the place and losses would be very high the only way that y/bs could work is if you doubled up with a fed next to you not one 100/150 miles away y/bs need to be educated/brainwashed into flying into a home area with birds going to the same area this also builds confidance if were at 200 miles fife are at 120 east lothian at 80 north fed 250 as i said it would only work if with a neighbouring fed this might work with old birds when further down the road at about rotherham distance when the transporters are carrying less birds but this i feel doesnt adress the main problem (the bermuda triangle) south of the forth down to the borders i feel if possable we should miss out that area completely that would maen jumping birds but i think they would take this ok dave
  8. thats a shame they have been very good for the scottish fancier i think the birds should be ok as the managers husband keeps pigeons and they are both top notch people very careing so the birds will be in good hands cheers dave
