    racing today

Depends the direction they are having to fly.
  11. There was a programme on BBC Radio Scotland on Sunday morning. Think it was called "out of doors". They were discussing increased protection for BOP. Also there was talk of "controlling" buzzards. One lady emailed in about the increased protection for raptors, asking who was looking after the small birds, because all the blue tits in her garden had been taken by sparrowhawks. There are other people out there begining to notice too.
  12. Hopefully that will give him something else to keep him occupied. Unfortunately these ones often tend to be better racers, they seem more motivated.
  13. You said he was sitting, but has he had any youngsters?
  14. No looks like an eagle owl, rspb would probably have had it shot.

I struggle to get birds ready for the inland nats. and I'm sure most guys in the north do as well. We are lucky to be at 200 miles before the Newbury nat which is approx 400++ to N. sect

Well now we're talking sprinters..............after 500+ miles. I suppose they could always start an national, one that doesn't go OUT of Scotland.

Be impressive doos that, flying from the channel to Arbroath then back to Dunfermline and across to the west and only 2 hours behind the winner. If they had brains they would break at Dunfermline the first time they went past it and only be 1 hour behind the winner.
