  1. No you're right there. I was just curious as to whether these things had any resistance to water at all.
  2. "Ets clock got water on it" from earlier in the post, that was my reason for asking.

They probably reckon under the 4 minutes/mile running rule there is a phonebox within 15 miles of your loft. Or 30 miles if you've got a bike.

Haven't a clue what is now that you've straightened the road. Probably closer to 40.

They have to phone their sec. within an hour of timing, and I fairly sure need to give ring no. of arrival. Just going by MNFC prog that was on tv a few years back. 32 in the taxi.

Would'nt be too sure on that one. The wind definately picked up through the day. It was quite strong WSW in NE Scotland this afternoon. They could well have a tough one.

Yes and they've 20 miles to the airport.
  8. Got to ask, how did it get water on it. I thought these things would at least be showerproof. Having spilt a drinker or 2 on an old STB. Bad luck for John. Pity the pigeons will never really get the credit they deserve, no disrespect to the other great N sect birds on the result.

Best of luck to you all. You'll probably never see what your birds have to cross. It seems a long flight in a plane.
  10. Well done George.
  11. Congratulations to everyone who has a bird tonight. Great pigeons into Dundee & Arbroath.
  12. Congratulations, I don't think there will be many in your position tonight.
  13. I'll second that. Just come off met office site and it looks a near perfect day.
  14. I'd be more suspicious of the matting. More likely the bird has been in contact with some chemical thats affected its sight/nervous system.
  15. Well done. Its ben a hard season for everyone, but at least you can have faith in the ones you are left with.
  16. How could it have para. Every bird in the Nats have been vaccinated!!!!!!!!!!

Too far east doesn't help the north east corner either, as can be seen from the difference between Peterhead and Dundee distances from Reims, I think it was 40 miles.

"Maybe the next AGM could be held in Ecclefechan?" Or maybe Fraserburgh or Wick, not even bothering putting tounge in cheek.

I would say yes, because its your best against everyone else's best. Quality not quantity. I only wish I had something in it.
  20. Sadly none to go. Bovingdon has taken its toll. Only just got them back down on eggs at the weekend. Should be better prepared for Ypres/Falaise. Ouch 40 miles difference Peterhead & Dundee. Best of luck to all who send anyway.
  21. Yearling hen home sometime yesterday. 2/2.
  22. Aye its had a few more percies to get past as well!
  23. Absolutely amazing.
  24. Great flying. Also makes you wonder when a lofts in condition, like this, why they just suddenly stop coming.
