Get a couple good stiff Broom type brusshes and mount then upside down. Just run yor foot over them. If you have a problem on the sides or your shoes or boots get 3 of the brushes and make a U shape out of them and run your foot through it
-
yes we built up a 2 foot high by 2 foot wide area all around the walls. One it is better for cleaning ,no bending over the whole way to the floor and also the same for catching the birds. By them being up closer they get use to your hands and arms being close and calm down when your in the section you can see the whole loft as it was being built on this site. http://hometown.aol.com/chatrace2001/NewLoft.html

This might be a good person to have some of the birds from the race when Finished Keep me informed what you think Linda. But from me there would be a Shipping fee,but no Box fee.
-
We will need to get coustumes for them so they look like ducks. Buy web snapon feet and flat bills to go over there beeks. People will only think it is a flock of ducks going over :-)
-
Put him in a nest box and slap him around a bit, let him know there is someone bigger and bader, lol Like linda said take 2 snapon bands and have a short string between them so he can't run, A smaller bird could do the slapping for ya then

It is good for the breeders to bring the calsium back up. I used 1 teaspoon to a gal of water 2 days a week after the 2nd round on after they lay the 2nd round and again after the 3rd round. just the days each time
-
do ya palce it ontop of the feeder? Only when they are first learning to jump inside through the traps from the Landing board. On race day there will be a bit of safflower on the lid also :-)

Some of the Birds today when I went to feed were just resting -
if you look close you will see the clocking pads in the tunnel and the bobs. They are using them already and only been here for a week. Will take the straw out as soon as I see no one is squriting.
-
feed just inside the trap has always word here Just took a photo today of the new YBs and you will see some of the feed right on top of the hopper infront of the traps, but when they jump in mine the EST has them clocked

Sorry I didn't get back sooner, we were doing a Special TV show with Co-Stars Lassie and Willy, lol They really are good for spotting hawks, have saved several hits on the rest of the team. Now if anyone would like to own one of these HummDingers I can put you on the waiting list, The whites are hard to get,but the ones with the Blue Head and Checker head happen more often. Now if you are still reading this I do have some beach front property on the Gulf coast here in Pennsylvaina I would be willing to sell.

The 2nd Syndicate bird came in from Don Brooks and nice checker, and is posted on the site with several others that came in. More will be added this week as they get here. So without a handicap worked out how can there be a race between the two type of lofts.. . Hi Again I know right where your coming from with a handicap ruleing. All lofts are not the same in size or distance from a release point and the handler is not the same in each. Do we give a Flyer that has bad knees and can't run,has to use a caneto get to his traps to get his counter mark as fast a a younger flyer. Do we allow more time for a flyer who is off line 30 or 40 miles from the main drag or because of a mountian in his path. We also clock within 1/1000 of a yard. I do agree the atavantage of eclocking comes if you happen to get 5 or 6 birds on a drop and they all run right in.but the 1st bird has to get there .
-
Well Not to upset anyone, we here in our club fly both clocks yet. for the 1st 2years the flyer that won average speed used counter marks and the old woodend 12 hole Benzing clock. He is a middle flyer so the distance being short or long wasn't a real factor. Again it was his birds and how he had the in form for the race, 3 or 4 sec wasn't the reason, he won and won by yards some races,so I guess the factor was not the problem. It not like horse racing where all weigh the same :-)

Sherman had some problems also, but his got here. did he call Karen so they can help -
By all means,it does kinda hit the nail on the head :-)

and say it was 5 seconds just knock the 5 second off the flying time nationally of us STB PEOPLE so that it brings the finish line back fairly . . . That wouldn't be fair to the bird, the clock doesn't make them faster or slower, it is the person or persons running them. The time losee is the reaction time between people not birds. I could sit under my board with my had ready to grab the marker and clock it in and save gettig out of my chair and putting my beer on the table stumbling over the rake and hose in the way and falling under the board ,lol but the bird was there I didn't do my job of clocking him fast enough for it to win. So I have spent some of my beer money and stoped smoking to get chip bands and now I just stay in my chair and keep drinking that beer and watch how nice they hit the board and run in the loft without me pulling there foot off to gain 2 sec. For the longest time people rode horses and some had cars, but after awhile most got a car be it used or new. Be Happy and enjoy our Sport while we have it. :-)

That will be fine, send tracking # and also add the phone # from the site on the mailing form. My PO people here are great, they call even before they make the last leg of there trip and I can drive 30 miles over to get them so they don't have to sit there till the next day -
The Atis is one of the 3 Benzing line,it used to be the top of there line till they came out with the New M1, you can check them here http://www.siegelpigeons.com/timers.html
-
We use the Benzing line here ,they have 3 units all priced with the flyer in mind. I have the Cheaper one and it works very well. I can hold 500 birds in memory, race in 8 races the same day if needed... Sorry if I put this in the wrong area, wasn't sure
