  9. Thats another story I have giving the pox treatment, I don't pull any feathers, I jab them with a homemade 5 needle combo. the mix is to get in the blood from where the feather is pulled, so most here just jab with a needle that was dipped in the Bottle. I take 5 needles and stick them through a pencil erascer and tape the ends together for a handle. Dip in the bottle and Jab the bird just to the side of the breast bone this make 5 holes for the mix to enter the bird and gets a great take and you can feel the scab when it forms each time you handle the bird.
  10. A few Vets have stated the crotch skin is also a good location,it isn't injected into the meat as some but as stated between the skin and meat. Here is the Neddle I use, can load up to 22 shots at a time, one nice training basket full :-)
  11. The loose skin between the leg and body is the same as trying to pul the sikin up on the back of the neck, but when you spread the leg away from the body the loose skin is there and easy to place the needle. I probably shoot over 400 birds a year and have had good luck, and while there upside down ya might as well pox them at the same time :-)
  12. I don't do it in the neck, if they move and you hit a nerve, there dead. I myself give it in the crotch of the leg and body in the weblike skin. Never lost a bird :-) Not near the worry.
  13. Ok, I figured it out after thinking a bit. This happened to me years ago with my Ybs. They fly crazy and are not flocking and all going in th same direction and you had 2 groups and they hit head on. I remember mine crashed and 1 fell dead in the yard and a couple others just had banged wings and heads and made it back to the loft and limped in, they were a bit bloody ,but recovered. the one had a broken neck that fell in the yard.DOA
  14. What are you injecting
