My hens always pair,doesnt bother me that much as long as they are not sitting eggs i dont mind.I let then sit with each other but dont let them go to nest as i think this will mess with the moult. What i will do is split the hens up before pairing,make them more fresh

Well our club dont have a presentation night or nothing,i was giving my prize card at our basket shed yesterday at our clubs end of season meeting.Our clubs one of the biggest in our area but never no do or nothing.Would love to have a presentation night but they just dont want to know.... We have or federation night this coming friday and i will be there..

Yes with the youngbirds and a no for the oldbirds.Couldnt put my finger on my oldbird season,i did win and get a few cards but very poor after say halfway.youngbirds flew very good almost all the birds clocked were on fed sheet every week.I finished 2nd youngbird average only beat for 1st place by 1 single point

Westy was going to answer yes but couldnt vote as i do miss racing but im also glad of the break,come this years youngbird season the birds were getting hard work looking after the old and youngbirds,training,feeding and going to work can get quite hard when i fly on my own.But i love it and do miss racing,i dont miss the race bills. carl greenhow

I love tame pigeons but cant stand the flighty ones that dive all over the loft.i have clocked tame pigeons and also clocked the flighty ones,its the flighty ones that dont trap the following week.

My first race i had two birds come with the winners,wouldnt trap due to me being away for the weekend and leaving the birds in my brothers hands,i end up 3rd club. Second youngbird race was a good day for me,1st 2nd 3rd best i have flown yet since starting,great experience running in behind three birds on the drop together. keep at it snowy and westy carl greenhow

sent 40 to northweald with the unc got 39 home within 1 hour but just off the pace AGAIN.I can see what birds are trying and what birds are plodding,maybe i could be cutting them back now but i will keep at it. I THINK I HAVE HOMERS NOT RACES

Thanks people i floated the two eggs from the brother and sister and they are full as normal so i guess i will just have to see.if i get two strong youngbirds i will cross them with my other van reet birds and see how it goes. thanks again

Just wondering people thoughts on where all the missing birds go.I have been racing pigeons for three seasons now and must have lost a good few birds in that time. I have only ever in three seasons had one bird reported and that was a photo of it on someones garage roof with a bowl of rice and a bowl of water. where do they go ?

I ordered from them once and my order came back ok but with a bottle of garlic oil missing from order,i was charged for this and they told me they were waiting to get it back in stock and i will get it when it comes in stock.Well im still waiting over a year later,i did phone them up and they didnt have a clue what i was on about..

Our fed voted against flying melton mowbray today,so if you wanted to send the birds could only go as trainers,didnt know it was one of our catch up races,so now we have lost a race from our programe BUT we could only send them as trainers. sounds stupid to me

Go visit fanciers that you dont fly against,then they will give you all the help you need.I have came across some very helpfull fanciers and i have came across some not so helpfull fanciers..The not so helpfull are the ones in my club...

You will have to just let the birds go through there moult and hopefully they should be settled ok
