I had a bird reported from a none fancier last year that i lost from the first oldbird race of the season selby 72 miles,this bird only flew the wrong way and ended up is essex.Anyway when i contacted the none fancier he had only managed to get a photo of the bird with ring number etc,he couldnt catch it. The bird lived on his garage roof for a good few weeks with a bowl of water and a bowl of rice.He sent me many pictures of her happy as larry on his roof. After he had asked me what to do next (not being able to catch her)i said chase her and put something on the roof to scare her,well thats what he did and she went,he emailed me loads of times asking if she made it home and the reply was no ,well for a year it was no then she turned up 12 months later almost to the day she went missing.I gave her to a new starter as she was well bred.The none fancier named her doris,one i will never forget

When will people be pairing up there stock birds,i will be pairing on the 10th january,no reason for this date just same date as the last few years for me. thanks

Hi im have in a few problems with my comp (again),shutting itself down doing silly things etc. Early this year my gilfreind ordered something from ebay with a visa,her details where stolen and some theiving T>>T ordered things with her card details 190 quids worth infact. I dont want this to happen again how do i stop this happening again as im on a new comp and the last ones totaly messed up.Not that we will use the internet for ordering anymore. Whats the best softwhere to get thanks

I dont agree its not getting boring at all,all good posts on the subject,some people have discused the subject some havnt.At the end of the day it would be your choice to use it or not. Can i ask,whats going on with ets at the moment are people still trying to bring it in,whats happening in december pigeonpete is there a meeting of some sort. all good posts

why not get them to the vet steven maybe put your finger on the problem and treat them correctly,dont just throw everything into them when you dont know what the problem is.It does sound like wet canker to me but have them checked

I agree carol,i think im getting them into shape too soon as they come great from the start then they drop back halfway through the season,maybe im burning them out to quick.Also the birds i have raced in the past are from here there and everywhere,and maybe not up for the job ahead.I have purchased some familys of birds i know go all the way so fingers crossed for the future.

We have had this subject a few times and i said the same before,I would love ets.It would be great to not have to chase birds around after they have just flown whatever miles.How many times do we spoil birds by grabbing them after a race. ETS would greatly help people with a disabilty or people who cant be there to clock the birds my opinion is yes

Craig it makes sence to go to someone thats flying out of there skin and let them pick the birds for you,only buy out of there best.Thats what i have done over the last three years and it started paying off this season.I dont know much about eye sign so i only want performance birds,proven familys that have won at the highest level

Now the older birds are almost through the moult i let them out for 20 to 30 mins for a fly and a bath,the youngsters that were on the dark can just say get to there perchs never mind fly out,but i do let them out at least once a week for a bath.Thge older birds starting to look the part now

I do try and clean the race team once a day if i have time.I do clean the stock out every now and then and they are in just as good nick .. do you think it matters if they are scraped or not,,,we only scrape out for ourselfs

Never used baby milk powder but have read its good for rearing like the posts above say.. A very good fancier told me to use slimfast,anyone used this ??

Had used amtrac a few times this year and found the service spot on.They did come once with no boxes and i had the lend the my basket,but they returned it the next dayand birds got to delivery address fine and in good time...Could i ask why the increase in the cost ?

My advice....build yourself a loft and anjoy the birds

Three lovely looking birds there and a bargain to the buyer.I simply have to many,i just cant help myself.I have 20 pair of stock and just bought 20 latebreeds from a top fancier,dont know what im going to do with them all :-/ :-/ :-/

I love most racing from 70 to 420 miles,never raced any further yet but i may have a hen for bourges this year 550 miles.I have to say i love the shorter sprint races the most,exciting for me as thats when im in the clock most ?
