  3. Third training race today from 20km, leading pigeons made it in about 25 minutes. Well done to the UK winners, Team Moon Stone Lofts with there pigeon Moonstone Micky. The lib must have been a bit split up with pigeons working right up to 6.30pm tonite. 2355 pigeons were released, and 2245 are home.... i have 9 out of 10, one short.

Austin had the pedigrees of the parents with him today... the youngster will either be from a direct son of Eddie Wright's MR.GALLANT x Machiel Buijk hen (Martha Van Geel) OR... from a direct Gilmour Bros pigeon which is steeped in Jock Traill, Pete Patrick, Eric Fox blood paired to an Eric Fox pigeon. i'm sure i've got it right, i'm sure Austin will confirm when he is next on PB.

  13. Show was a great success today, with a good entry and some fanciers travelling to get here despite the weather conditions. Well done to Brian Massey winning Best In Show, with Davie Glen taking Best Opposite Sex Mackie & Knox won Best Young Bird and Best Opp Sex Young Bird. Well done to all the other winners , a full list will appear soon, and Most Points winners were M&D.Winter & Daughter. A show wouldnt be a show without a great set of judges, and that we had... Austin Whittaker, Jock Scott, Mook Honeyman, Dave Nicoll and Kevin Murphy all doing a splendid job sorting out what was some high quality entries. We would also like to thank the cash donations on the day for some extra prize money, we were able to pay out: Best In Show... £30.00 Best Opp Sex... £20.00 Best Young Bird... £10.00 All in all a big hand to everyone involved and fanciers just popping along for the day out
  14. at short notice we have one more 2011 YB to add that was kindly gifted by Austin Whittaker, Methil, Fife... Austin gifted a youngster to our show auction today and gave us another to auction on Pigeon Basics, as we all know Austin won 1st Open SNFC Ypres 2010, and has ben a consistent flyer at national level for a number of years. Thus youngster will be lot.16 and bidding will close at 9.30pm Sunday 19th December.

  16. i'm quite sure Feds do not issue rings till first week in january, even though collected early december... besides i dont think a few days on the age of youngsters will make any difference come racing, there will still be huge losses and the same fanciers winning the red tickets... jmo

Second Training Race went well yesterday, lib at 1.20pm with leading birds taking just 18 minutes... the troops had a good race with most them being home quite sharp... 185th 13.38.49 222nd 13.38.54 326th 13.39.11 381st 13.39.22 474th 13.39.37 552nd 13.39.51 639th 13.40.11 643rd 13.40.12 901st 13.41.10 2178th 14.08.00 last one home last spotted on las americas beach sipping belgasol! lol...

  21. Second Training Race today, 2365 birds due to be released at 2.00pm... temp is 25 degrees in tenerife today! just a bit warmer than dundee...
  22. hi mate,i sent eight pigeons bred from my distance stock... thinking that when the going gets tough then they should have the brain & stamina to hopefully get home, the other two are sprinters for a bit of fun at the short ones, these were the first two home from the most recent race...
  23. thats a pity lads, the Downfield Friendly RPC Open Show is still going ahead... due to the circumstances i will still accept entries
