imo one of the biggest killers in the sport is 'pigeon politics' loads of fanciers in recent years have either left the sport, been suspended or simply been forced out the doo's because of politics... usually over very trivial matters but unfortunately these matters are usually blown way out of proportion and are seen as an opportunity to 'plunge the knife and give it a good old twist'... some fanciers canna be bothered with it all and chuck in the towel, however there are a small percentage that will 'fight back to the death' and not be walked all over by these opportunists!!! very sad but true, how things cannot be sorted out the old fashioned way...
The Downfield Friendly RPC would like to offer by an on-line auction an absolute superb draft of 2011 Young Birds which will commence on Saturday 11th December. These young birds have been gifted by some of the finest flyers throughout the UK, and were meant to be auctioned at our Annual Open Show on 4th December, but due to inclement weather conditions the show was cancelled. The show has since then been rescheduled for the 18th December, weather permitting... which at the moment could be a bit uncertain. The auction will close Friday evening 17th December at 9.00pm, bids will be accepted through the thread or PM bids will be accepted by 'WulDon' or 'Clockman' ... more to follow plus the sale list in due course.
Nightmare... more snow forecast for our area tomorrow seemingly? Dundee is just a mess the now, cars parked/abandoned everywhere... no parking on alot of the main city central roads... back streets still not ploughed, cars still prone to getting stuck in the snow... one good thing keeping plumbers busy! LOL
Now rescheduled for 9th December 2010 at 11.00am weather permitting. When we were over in November it was very windy in exposed areas, maybe still same?
