  4. Clocked my 2yo hen bred by John Ellis, Wellbank at 10.58... sooo glad to see her, (1/2)
  5. BIRD WATCHING!
  6. with a larger convoy and hopefully into a bit of a stronger wind, weatyher conditions perfect i'm sure someone in Section C will get one tonight???
  7. yip early rise mate, all the best!
  8. the controllers have done there best and had to wait on weather clearing, then lib when possible... i dont see why a mid-day lib should even be considered when the conditions were perfect for a lib at 9.45am, yip most birds will spend the night out including my own but that distance racing for ya!... but why force an entire convoy to spend the night out when unecessary and fall prey to a whole host of predators lurking up and down the country. If lucky enough i'd rather have my doos only a couple of hours from home in the morning rather than another shift of say 4-6 hours to be put in... of course not every body gonna be happy, but when ever is every body happy!!!
  9. better get the alarm clock set, not much chance of a doo up here tonight...
  10. informed earlier in season that they are on the steeple in St.Andrews and also at Elie, in Fife...
  11. regular updates will just save fanciers getting grumpy and in some cases negative attitudes, were all concerned about our 'little warriors', that have been lucky enough to make it to the final hurdle this season! lets hope weather improves and we get a great race to finalise this testing OB season...
  12. i know that mate, got to try our best for our doos... these fckrs will end our sport within the next 10 year! we had a lib at arniston with angus fed last week, and they got hit at lib, some quere times...
  13. update on now, poor visibility... could be another holdover?
  14. if that the case why cant SNFC officials put this on the website to keep memebers informed???
  15. weather is looking good for some serious YB training next few days... would be interesting if fanciers could post any known peregrine sites in fife and along the forth coastline right as far as north berwick if possible please, trying to avoid being blootered by these 'buggers'...
  16. any reason?
  17. the success rate of fanciers from UNC terrority in the YB national is second to none and most years they take some beating, leicester is a come back race for most of these lads...
  18. any young living creature needs educated and pigeons are no different, i certainly wouldnt throw my kids in at the deep end first time at swimming! some great posts of examples of some great pigeons that have scored being jumped hundreds of miles, but this is just a fraction of a percentage of the many pigeons jumped into races over the years as opposed to the ones that never return to there homes! so statisticlly it is certainaly not a method i would adopt and imo is some what misleading to novices! educate your pigeons well and increase your success rate, imo of course!!!
  19. if friday is good enough then they will have to go, you dont hold pigeons over just because a bit of sun is forecast following day... ye friday will be a tough race, but here that pigeon racing, nobody wants a holdover unless its impossible for a lib... friday seems very possible!
  20. Friday seems good for a race, touch of north in the wind which will steady them up a bit... nae blaw hame this year!
  21. LOL...
