2012 Derby Arona One Loft Race Winner! ICHABOD 2012 Derby Arona OLR Winner... hitting the board!

thanks to every body who has congratulated myself on the acheivements this year in the DERBY ARONA One Loft Race... just got home this morning from what can only be described as one of the best pigeon moments i have ever experienced, and a memeory that i will cherish for ever! a huge thanks obviously goes to my wife Julie, who supports me 110% all the way in everything i do in life... we spent a superb weekend with fellow Scottish contenders TEAM DOOLANDERS, namely John Bosworth, John Hood, and Jim Smith... Jim actually had an activated pigeon in the final with Alan McGonigal flying as Team Seashore, there pigeon Hiedra placed 37th, which was great both birds made it from the race considering the jump. the race organiser Jose Ledesma and family done a superb job, with a well run final where fanciers and family spent a great day out at the lofts awaiting the finalists, and the presentation on the Sunday evening in the Mare Nostrum, Las Americas... which was a great night had by all. thanks everybody....

we fly out tomorrow for the final on saturday, looking forward to a great weekend meeting up with fanciers old and new... good luck to all the finalists...

Hi mate, the final is from the island of Fuertaventura a distance of 300km on Saturday 24th March... they are hoping for a lib at 7.45am, last year the leaders done a good time of 3 hours 40 minutes...

ye lets pray that these two gallants young pigeons can get in that first batch again on saturday, from the semi final 16 birds dropped together and any one of them could have won it, my pigeon trapped first so i'm pretty sure i've had my fair share of luck this year and i will just be chuffed to bits to see her home on saturday... they are being jumped to 300km so i reckon it could be a tough one? that means the wife will be steaming!! lol...
