My loft is exactly the same size as yours, only difference is my aviary is the same size as the loft The first pic is the centre 4' section The second pic is the outer 6' sections Plenty room for 20 birds in each section

How does the GPS mapping work, do you get a GPS receiver and take it to your loft, is there a database with you position on it? ie post codes(what if your loft does not have a post code ie in a field or alotment) or grid reference ???

On a more serious note Kids are different in general these days and so are communities, most teenage kids would not be seen dead with their dads, it would ruin their street cred. Back when it was common to have lofts then it was different Kids are so prone to peer pressure these days it's unbelievable, and now there are much easier options to enjoy yourself I had a choice Football, Rugby, Boxing or Judo were the only clubs you could join for next to nothing Tennis, Golf, Skiing etc were not the working class kids sports, but they are today. Then you have the push button sports today that you can play and never get hurt. Plus pigeon racing is not a spectator sport, so it has no media coverage, where as football, tennis, boxing is and also involves a lot of gambling to keep it alive Ebay ticket for Celtic against Rangers sold in excess of £1,020, you need a good 50 - 100 pounds to go to a normal game with the family Yet we greet about ets at £350 which may last for years and makes life easier :-/ Our governing bodies need to get aff their butts and promote the sport and come up with ways to make it sell to the public somehow, they cannae even sell it to the people who love pigeons, in fact they cannae even give it away to fanciers who are leaving the sport

Some will just breed any thing Back to the Shar pei pups, I think breeding dogs that have inherent problems is wrong, and, ok for the show ring but the general public that buy these problems cannot cope and the dogs suffer I may not criticising the above pups but the ones that are bred and bred to get more and more wrinkles should be discouraged, and if the above are then yes I am criticising the breeders.

If Alf is right and you lose them all, what then? I have bought some birds for Cabin Boy and for a 15 year old this would be devistating to him :-/

I know Alf, It's getting like Sky telly too much channels to pick from, frightened to watch the wrong one incase I upset someone What with all the associations, feds, and clubs to pick pic from, Cabin Boy is only a quiet 15 year old, looking at racing pigeons, nae wonder we cannae get young folk into the sport. At 50 ah cannae work it all oot :( Could you imagine a young boy spending all his money on some young birds(pigeons) and his first race sending them only to lose them maybe because he joined the wrong group :-/
