Dave,it shouldn't be a problem.If it was me I'd exercise them whenever possible throughout the winter to keep them in good shape,they will cover a lot of ground in an hour and should get back into the habit of trapping well.I'd also race the hens on widowhood for a few weeks then maybe repair them for the longer races.This is just an option.atb.

If I was starting out with only a 16'x8' loft,I would have 5' for w/hood cocks,2' 6" for widow hens and a 6'youngbird section with a sliding door to separate the sexes.The remaining 2'6" could be for a couple of stock pairs,racing 8cocks and their hens weekly should give you a good chance to be amongst the prizes.One of the best flyers locally only had a 14x6 loft which housed all his birds including stock.atb.

Good morning all,may take a run up to the Ype Hemstra sale of Heremans-Ceusters and Gust Janssen.They are winning well as youngbirds in this area,a couple of lads I know have won £15,000 with these birds.Not buying though,I think they may go for a few bob.
