Watched a large s/hawk yesterday being chased by a group of crows and have noticed a smaller one hedge hopping just above the garden fences,there seems to be plenty about.

Yes and he's got another sale tomorrow.One thing about Les he insist that the vendor only put pigeons in the sale from their best and tomorrow is the first ever auction for Combination Van Den Berg,there should be some really good birds for the distance men.

The Eijerkamp sale today fetched some high prices,approx £52,000 for the 45 lots an approx average of £1,150.The top prices were lot44-£6,400,lot45-£5,400,lot21-£3,700 and lot31-£3,100.No wonder Les Green was smiling and I don't think it was because Man.Utd. won.

May take a run down to the Eijerkamp sale in Garswood to have a look at their Heremans-Ceusters, last time the place was packed.They will fetch a few bob with direct children from Euro,Rossi and Jackpot in the sale.

The lad who takes our other fed has the crate on his head and climbs the ladder to slot it in for the top rows.Mind you he's got a head like a mortar board.

We used a large pallet with two lads on.

The Merseyside Fed used a fork lift to decant the feeder transporter to the main one,worked very well.

One of the clubs I'm in we're a bunch of old farts and a few can't load now,I'm 63 and up to now have been up the ladder most weeks but can't keep doing that much longer.The other club we have plenty of strong lads in their forties and it's not a problem there.

Don't know,but I use a couple of good glugs of malt vinegar in the pigeons bath.I'm told there's little difference between malt and distilled vinegar,but could be wrong.
