Theres no need for droppers at all with racing pigeons train them to the whistle.I have had a bird so tired after a race it could not get off the house roof it was totally flown out theres nothing a dropper would have done to get that pigeon of the roof i thought droppers where mainly for high flyers

I was thinking the same as you oldyellow so the answer is not to wait untill all birds are ranging from both rounds to train them but to treat them as 2 individual teams i will try that this year and see if the first team hold up any better

I allways take 2 rounds of young birds i have allways found my second round do better than the first round has any other fanciers found this with there pigeons.

Iranian high flyers must be the best flyers these birds fly all day and night some fanciers have to put lights out on there loft roofs at night to bring them down

Do you keep your fantails and rollers in with your racers.I had a fantail in with my racers years ago and it was too aggressive towards my racers.It was only a half fantail i do not know what the other half was but it had feathery legs
