  1. With the Race now cancelled and further to reviewing forecasts i believe the correct judgement was made by the controller. The only slight chance would have been Saturday at around 4.00pm from either Kelso/Otterburn.Hindsight is a great attribute which only a few possess but my main concern is what we have in place in the way of transport should next day marking be required in the future. I am as disappointed as every other Fancier in Lanarkshire but you can be confident that the Office Bearers have only the best interests and the safe return of your pigeons contrary to what is rumoured.Lets move on and keep the chins up. :(
  2. Unsettled with Sunshine and Heavy Showers along with Strong Southwesterly Tail Winds. Lanarkshire are sitting at Wakefield some 180 mls with around 5800 birds and i think the only chance of a Liberation is to get away by 8.00am. In Scotland we have 6 Feds @ Ripon.2@Wetherby,2@Stafford,3@Wakefield,1@Witton Castle,1@Kingussie,1@Leyland and 1@Arniston Good Luck to All.
  3. Try Joni 6280 on this site they are the guys that are hard to beat.
  4. Bigdafty yer as Bright as A Dork Night.Go tae the Fed Mini Site the results are there. In case yae canny find it ya muppet Thomson Bros were 1st East Sect 8th Open with a Velocity of 1234.21 some 42 yds behind the King of the Skyes. ;D
  5. Andy Bigdafty is full off Wind and Pi-h The MACS had a clean sweep and its time the moderators/Webmaser ban him from posting any other threads or we are going to loose valuable members on Pigeon Basics. :(

  8. Well common sense prevailed and Lanarkshire are now going to Wakefield a jump of some 87mls.With the middle distance races fast approaching be warned , If you fail to prepare, be prepared to Fail ,and now the 98% shi-te rule kicks in.

    Lanarkshire Fed

Pigeons can jump 400mls if Healthy and Bred in the Purple. The late Ian McGhie had a cracking Blue Hen he Called Amber who went on to Win 2,3,& 4th West Sect Snfc Sartilly and Top Open positions. Each year she had 1 race which was the May Day Race 60mls then jumped.Lets not forget the 98% Shi-e rule and dont be afraid to jump or you will be left with a Dookit full of Sh-t which you will then breed from and some will even sell. ;) ;)King Billys coments are unfounded with regards to the Controller as he has only the best interests of the pigeons and their safe return. ;)
