Why would 2 of the Cocks go down which had previously scored prior to being paired with this Hen.

Do we fanciers know to much about Pharmaceutical Products and not enough about pigeons. It appears that when talking to various fanciers that a lot of the problems stem from pigeons that are incomers which have latent diseases (Carriers)which dont harm themselves but infect others. We had a hen some years ago who scored in 4 SNFC races ,she never left any pigeons that could finish the young bird program, was paired with 4 different Cocks and they also went down.On further investigation it was confirmed that she was a carrier.( of Canker. )

Whats disturbing is there appears to be a hidden agenda which has nothing to do with the race. :(And it may just be certain partities not getting it their own way in the Lanarkshire Fed.

Whats Wrong With Pigeon Racing Today
budgie replied to budgie's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
IB ? Think what you like it will not get any better until the true value of the racing pigeon gets back to reality, and when some dealers stop trying to con fellow fanciers with useless birds for a Kings Ransom. -

Whats Wrong With Pigeon Racing Today
budgie replied to budgie's topic in Pigeon Politics, Rules & Regulations
Its sad Paul but what you are saying is true.Irrespective of what we read in the advertisments, for some extraordinary reason we the fanciers still believe we are buying Gold and forget the 98% Rule . Thanks for your response. -
On speaking to many fanciers in general they believe it has been taken over by Pigeon Politicians and to many people wanting to make a fast Buck. There are Thousands of pigeons shipped in which are purely bred to sell and not for the better of our sport. There is nothing wrong with the small-time/team fancier who is racing well and there is a demand for his pigeons which in turns pays for the feeding and racing bill.It comes to light when the Dealers who are not pigeon fanciers are making a good living on the back of honest working fanciers who are intelligent to realise that they only come to this country due to not having a market at home. Will it get any better with commercialisition and the prices being asked time will tell.Lets forget about the market place dictating prices and what is your thoughts on a maximum price for a racing pigeon.
