are we jumping the gun here?? I do my best to return birds if and whenever its possable it seems to me that this bird was missing only a short time ???? I would doubt if someone was trying to race it more like sending it back to the owner we cant put a bird in a basket if is not rubbered << so if I am sending a bird back to where I believe it to be from i wont say anything just put a rubber on at marking and hope the bird makes its way home I had a bird drop into my loft yesterday Injured it had a address ring I phoned the owner he informed me that this bird went missing last year, but when he had it returned it turned out to be one of his best racers ?? the strange thing is when we got talking on the phone and he asked my name he then discovered that it was me that contacted him about tha same bird last year I have no doubt this bird only dropped to me because of very bad injuries ???? so please lets not jump to conclusions maby the chap was doing a favour rubbering the bird kind regards to all peter

hi I know I my birds had young bird sickness 1998 they were falling of the perches it was killing me to see birds that were in perfect health only hours before dying at my feet ? I was told at that time to treat them with Batril which I did things imprvoved one the young birds went on to win the longest land race also win National I do realise this is not the norm and there is to much muck been pumped into our birds ? it was frank Harper of Wales that advised me to treat as a result of seeing my birds dying and PFL it was just to much to take I only hope it never comes back to haunt my birds again?? regards to all on site Peter

hi Mimebbo just reading your post ? you say your feeding quarter ounce in the morning dep and half ounce good mix in the evening this seems a little on the scarce side to me ? especialy if you have a strong head wind regards peter

get yourself an overalls and a good mask and never never ever go into the loft without them fitting snugly over you if only I had been told this 30 odd years ago regards peter
