i believe over crowding is the main problem with fly aways, it happens with rock doves, when the places get highly crowded they fly off to over areas to find better nesting sites

it will appear on the keel bone of the pigeon and move along this bone, it looks exactly as the name sounds a blood spot

havent had it with janseens, but have had it once with the lefebre dhaenens, and sometimes i get the odd frill, out of them and also once out of two blues locked in there boxes when pairing to prove parentage they raised a mosiac thing lovely looking pigeon raced it and lost it, looked and delved right into the pedigrees right right right back was this mosiac, that was many generations back, wish i kept it for stock in the end

timewise basically aslong as the hours of darkness are longer then, the hours of light by half an hour you wont go far wrong.

thanks mate, wouldnt call it a flag as of yet tho, as i was cutting down trees more like a big branch with a flag lol but im enjoying the bit of agression i unlesh lol, getting them to do 45 mins every day at moment will slowly build it up to an hour before i start to train them. been doing this for the past two weeks, been impressed they been flying well, and do not seem scared of the flag,but as soon as its down there like bullets, im liking what i am seeing so far and will continue it on.

it was a cross in the first place mate, the pigeon itself is a cross and it was crossed to a different strain so how could it be inbreeding? just a question?

Hi ladies gentlemen, have a pigeon here every year it has breed pigeons with only a slight webbed toe, hardly noticable, these pigeons have come on to be top pigeons for me, the thing it is the only pigeon from a certain strain that i have here so every young bird is a cross that ive had from it. She also has this trait of one webbed toe hardly noticable. noticed in the nest this time one with a complete webbed toe, which she has never bred before and the other in the nest has none. What is this webbed toe caused by any ideas?
