These birds are obviously hand reared and drawn to humans as stray pigeons are, as they are 100% carnivorous, what would something that size need to eat daily, 4 or 8 ounces of meat a day I would guess, they don't look built for catching rabbits so what does that leave, cats, small dogs, I see trouble looming

Couldn't agree more, nothing but problems going to be the outcome, that is a youngster, they don't mature until about 4yrs. old, They should be in the same area as their parents, learning their trade, these have got little chance of reaching adult age.
