Did you not mention previously Andy that you know someone on south coast, might be an idea to e-mail the SNFC if you get a dodgy forcast on the English side that morning? It is possible to get a forcast inc. visibility from the shipping guys at Calais or Dover, they dont advertise it, but will do it if asked the right way.

My mate called today to say he has an English bird in flown out, anyone any ideas?
  10. you are correct Blucock it would be better held on a friday, because if they dont get up early on a sat they risk the chance of catching the Dutch going over their route.
  11. A lot of the continental birds were held over til today Lewis, dodgy weather in north of France, and they didn't get good racing either, my mate only had 3 from 14 home at clock time,8 by dark.
  12. Its from the Lanarkshire area,Pigeon Man,Thank you for trying to help.
  13. Hi Everyone, just wondered if there is anyone going from the Gloucester area to Scotland over the next week or so? I got an injured bird in from the Marlborough race and reported it on here, been in touch with the owner and told him I would keep it till its better. The bird has recovered now and I just wondered if anyone who is passing, going north, might be able to give it a chance to get home? Thanks for any help,W.D.
  14. Any ideas why the birds are not turning up, what do you think has stopped them? These doos from both nats are the best that our countrymen could send, and on a normal day the majority would be home by now? I am in no form taking any credit away from the birds that are home, these are super pigeons up there well within the expected time, but as for the remaining poor wee buggers where can they be?
  15. Well done Sanny. Is that the 1st NW bird?
  16. Severn Valley Fed up at 8-45 from Messac. Hope the weather improves in UK for them.
  17. Yes I know how he feels, I live not far from him and have had half my O/B team lost or returned injured from training/racing, every week its happening now. It's not fun and must be worse for Y/Bs.
