    Dewar Trophy

Well done indeed, any chance o a wee picture o the bird?
  2. We had a real heavy shower of hail down here this afternoon, and when it stopped, on going out to feed the doos they were on top of the loft gobbling the stuff up. Thought it was because they were hungry but when I called them in there were a lot still too busy eating the hail to come in and get their feed?!! Is there something in it they like or need that they're not getting?
  3. Seem to remember a guy from Carnwath flew the Boizards in the early 80s with a lot of good results, one good hen topped the west section twice if I'm correct? The guy sold up not long after, did Jim Hannah not buy it and bred some good birds too? Anyone able to help further?
  4. Finally managed to get a reply via text on monday, replied asking what exactly was wrong with T3 & Printer, didn't get a proper answer just its been fixed.Best of all, I recommended him to a mate to replace batteries on 2 T3's and he had a lot of trouble too but got his back long before mine, only because he said he didnt have a clock to race with for y/bs which was true.
  5. Been trying to get a hold of this guy since putting a clock, printer, and lead, in to get tested, been 3 months now and cant get an answer, left lots of messages on both pnone no.'s with no reply? Did get through to him once and he said he was at work and to get back in touch in the evening, did this and got no answer as usual? Is there a good time to get an answer from his no.'s as I have tried at various times off the day?
  6. Should be able to get it on i-player? There was also a qu. on Egg Heads tonight, ''What do the letters R.P.R.A. stand for?'' Seems we are getting some publicity at last?!!!
  7. BBC2 TV tonight, 18.30 HRS (6.30 p.m.)An interview with Peter Bryant on pigeons during the war. Didnt know he had birds, if not any idea who's loft it is? BBC2 TV 20.00 hrs (8.p.m.) on Thursday 18th Oct at 8 p.m. with Len Painter.(thanks to Bilco on p-chat)
  8. Tom passed away on thurs morning in his sleep, aged 76. Anyone who ever met him will know what a great character he was,and will be sorely missed by all in the club and village, even though its a few years since he raced doos he still kept in touch with everyone. He took me to my first fitba game, Rangers v Hearts, Donald Ford, John Greig etc. First time to Hampden Park too, Rangers v Ayr, Johnny Doyle playing for Ayr before going to Celtic, Rangers won, and if I remember correctly Cutty Young scored from a corner kick, thought that was brill until I got hit on the head wi a beer can full o p*ss!!! Sorry for going on a bit but its been a hard couple of days, lots of happy memories. God Bless. My thoughts to Ann his wife and the family.
  9. Lovely story, best of luck to you Harry. Thats just what the doo game needs right now, more camaraderie and charactors. ATB W.D.

SU 08 R 2893 An old favourite gone missing? Been reported on pigeonchat, any ideas? thanks .
  11. Yes, I agree with you that its the fairest race we have Frank, and I'm not taking anything away from anyone who scored. We just thought there would have been a lot more birds in 1st 100 last year with the no.s away to the race. Just asking for some feed back, please dont take this the wrong way.
  12. Talking with my Dad yesterday and this subject came up? Last year when the L-Fed went with the SNFC to Ypres, we, thats my Dad and me, were expecting big things from you guys with the amount of doos in the convoy, etc., and we honestly thought you might have dominated the race. Now this year you decided not to send with the Nat and looking at the 2 results they are on a par with each other. How do you feel you did this year compared to last years race?
  13. The above bird is mentioned in BHW this week in Parkinsons' article. The lad who let him know is Guy Chappell, postcode PH2 9HG.

    Snfc/Snrpc

Can't have been much of a man if the best he csn do is have a go at a laddie eh?! The best thing that can happen today is that you have a right good race and tan the hide off this -(fancier?), then see what he has to say at the clock checking?
