bang on i spent a 3 days with two vets with birds not only pigeons at that and it nearly turned me off racing pigeons for life the looking after is un real and yes they medicate them but christ were there birds a joy to look at you only get out what you put in its that simply.

your saying you had ybs annd won races in the same season we have 9 young bird races to have that sickness and win races in the space of nine weeks is some going even if they had it earlier in the season would put you miles behind people in my club spend ther lives in ther loft, for me a novice to have a desease of that scale and in the same season baskett my birds with thers is unthinkable im afraid was that to me mate?

no mate not at all the birds immune system will build its self and keep the virus at bay but he can certainly pass it on to young he breeds .

you have it in one my freind and not only that my good vet belives 90% of young bird losses is down to respitory infections which you cant see now by that i mean racing not sickness.

100% fact 3 years a cured andenco virus bird can carry in his system.

ecoli can be easy to cure with the right antibiotics and your birds were well over there sickness to get the positions they did.

if any one sends birds sick they should be *expletive removed* shot or removed from there club asap.

i cant under stand why in this day and age people get the stupid poxy bactria infection why on gods earth can people not control a less than 200gm bird from getting sick if your with your birds day in day out and looking at everything they do in your time your with them how can you not tell if one is off colour in 90% of cases of young bird sickness it starts with one bird then a wipe out on 50% of cases young bird sickness is mis understood dreadfull and if you get expert help asap you will find in 90% of cases it never was adenco virus the problem started at home with us and the care of them if your an honest man or women of the sport and i want you to think about this how many people in you club do you know dont give the birds there full care but think they do i know a few men but they know no different because the likes of lads keeping all there secrets of simple things under there hats on keeping there birds healty i hate the likes of these men of the sport they couldn give a sh** if your birds were falling off the perch in front of you they would rather send you down a winding road than help.remember expert help is always best and if you cant get or afford this help antibiotics that fight bowel gut bactiria and proper diet when there down is you best choice and most important rehydrate the birds every day when there sick.
