For sure we've got some top notch fanciers on this site but what interests me is those on here who are going to be the ones of the future. If we as members can help them in anyway to get there to me that's what this site is all about.

I had one for nine years and dont regret one minute of it, wonderful pets.

I know of two fanciers local to me that have lost all bar a couple of babies (1-2 day old) in the nest and yes they use black nest felts. I removed mine today as I got mine from the same source.

A few questions. how long did it take for the hens to lay out after pairing. Did all the hens lay out. Were the eggs that didn't hatch clear.

I use a small plastic tray (the ones that you sit plant pots on) its about 2' long x 6''wide x 1/2 inch deep, black minerals go one end, pink the other & grit in the middle. I put this in front of the pigeons every day, take it out when they've cleared it, give it a whipe ready for the following day.
