I dont know if you've any fanciers near you Dave, if you have avoid letting them out the same time as theirs. I've always found 2pm a good time to have them out, they get the heat of the day plus not a lot of other pigeons about out at that time. Yes let them out a couple of days after you get them. Dont chase them out of the loft, let them come out under their own steam. Dont forget to wing stamp them before you let them out for the first time.

You can get x12 optical zoom but then your looking at crossing the £100 barrier.

Dont know to much about them but always go for a optical zoom over digital zoom. Digital zoom degrades the photo.
