Yes SPDS at Leeds has now closed, we knew it was coming and thats why we decided to cover Scotland ourselfs and also help other couriers in getting birds to and from Scotland.

The courier for Louella is Dave and Julie at UK pigeon Couriers And Spds at Leeds has now closed down With Dave at Uk Pigeon Couriers been my dad we at Pigeon force now cover Scotland and take the pigeons up there and bring them down for him if we are in the area We collect pigeons in Scotland on a Tuesday and bring them down to England, then take Pigeons up to Scotland on a Friday

We have started this service early and was in scotland yesterday with some very pleased customers, we are going back up to scotland on friday and still have space available, we are also then going up every tuesday and friday from next week and would like to here from any other couriers who would like help collecting and delivering pigeons from here due to the closure of SPDS in Leeds.

Just to remind you all that the above service starts on Monday, with a little change as below Instead of every Thursday we will be delivering pigeons to throughout Scotland this has now changed to every Friday. Dont forget to book early to avoid dissapointment. Daryl & Julie

We just arrived at the lofts over an hour ago, after a 8 hour drive bloody traffic should have taken 3.5 hours, the sky is clear and a little cold with gentle breeze, after speaking to Derick sounds like it will be a very strong head wind and the birds will be going further accross towards Edingbourgh to avoid the bad wether. Thank you for that Chickadee, Sorry forgot to mention the post codes we will be covering straight away are DG, TD, EH, ML, KA, G, KY, DD, FK. these postcodes will be charged £35 for up to 6 birds, sorry if your not in these postcodes as we will still have to charge £40, but im sure you will agree we really are trying to make the pricing best for the fanciers. Due to the fact that we are the closest courier to Scotland and becaue of the amount of work we are currently doing in this area we would like to make all our customers aware that from Monday 7th september we will be carrying out our own Scottish runs. Every monday we will be picking up pigeons throughout Scotland and bringing them down to be delivered within England and Wales on the Tuesday and Wednesday. Every Thursday we will be delivering pigeons to throughout Scotland that we have collected from England and wales on Wednesday. We will also be adjusting our pricing to reflect this service £35 for up to 6 pigeons + £1 per extra bird Attention to other couriers We will be offering other couriers the chance for us to bring there birds from Scotland to our new unit based in Leeds at a reduced rate, these can be collected from there from 5am tuesday Same applies for taking the birds to Scotland where our cut off point on the wednesday night at our unit is 11pm Full details will be available on our website from Monday, and will be updated here shortly. North wales novice the pricing structure is 32.50 for upto 6 birds and £1 every extra bird scotland is 40.00 for upto six, i think you will find the pricing structure simple and competitive we are in wales once a week so dont hesitate to contact us we will do our best to help thanks julie

All your comments are taken on board, we do cover the whole of the uk and will do our best to do that money is not the issue if it was then we would not be a pigeon courier lol If we chose to do a job that is out of the way to the jobs we get in that week it would take too much time out of the day causing us to let others down it has a knock on effect i can only advise that the courier that took the job on for extra money must also have had the time to do it that day or that week we would be happy to fit in all jobs that we recieve but at the rate its going it isnt phsically possible, i hope it hasnt put you off using our services we hope to here from you again just make sure you tell me who you are so i can fit it in the same day >

As we work for the people and not as a large company we take the jobs on a week in advance thats the only way it can work and is how most couriers work so that we can link all the jobs together. We aim to give as much notice as possible but we work on a 24hr notice as explained to all customer. We appreciate all feed back whether possitive or negative it helps us to build and improve our service! We have hundreds of satisfied customers but we cant please everybody but we will do the best of our ability to try, we are still in a learning process with the pigeon business and are working hard to achieve a top class service for our fellow pigeon fanciers, yours julie Pigeon Force

We would be willing to link up with other couriers and would be willing to pass on jobs that we can not fit in, as we are fully booked nearly every week, we now have a few customers in areas that are willing to pick up strays and hold them until collection can be arranged. Thank you to those people they are making the service much faster.

Pigeon Force is a small family run business owned by Daryl & Julie, who are based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, This location is ideal as it is central to the Uk and close by to all major motorway links, M1, M62, A1 etc. Daryl is a 4th generation Pigeon fancier and is the son of David Thornton who ownes and runs Uk Pigeon Couriers which are based in South Cheshire, some of you who may have used Davids courier company before may already know Daryl as he helped launch Uk pigeon couriers back in January 2009, both companys are going from strength to strength. Whilst using Pigeon Force you can be sure that your birds are in the safe hands of experienced handlers and that any pigeons kept in our holding pens are looked after like they were our own. We also carry a full Defra type 2 licence which is carried in all our vehicles and can be produced upon request. Our vans have vents to the rear which keep the birds nice and cool during transportation. We now have a new pricing structure which you will find very competitive, if not the cheapest. I started with 10 birds then lost most of them during training, have started the season with 1 bird and still have the same bird, people in the club are sending 20 at a time and never getting 20 back, so far im doing well as long as it keeps coming it will keep going

I have had to cut back on my pigeons due to not having time because of the courier business, there for i have decided to give away pairs of them. I have never bred anything from them as i havent had time. These birds were given to me by a fancier who was leaving the sport, i had his and the birds details wrote down but i have misplaced it , so im only going off what i know. 1st pair is a cock and hen from the Busschaert family. 2nd pair is as above 3rd pair is a cock and hen from the Grondelar family.
