i think u would have to be very careful to make sure the rubber was right in the place as if it was out a bit would jam or damage the rubber. if a thinble is not right in the clock wont turn but a rubber well u know what could happen, thats why with open end thinbles u had to put the open end down, this was also for safety reasons i think as well,

it could be that they are rubbing against the metal feeders, this happens if the feeders are too high and their body is rubbing while feeding,

ets is getting more in use each year i think its about 5-6 clubs in fife got them now, we have them for the first time in our club this year and i think that most are very happy with them, a lot less work and more accurate.

i agree with that ronnie, i would not like a place knowing there was ex amount of birds beating it, what good is that, the only way would be to limit the entries, certainly not the birds in the clock, if they are in the race they are entitled to their winning places,

tha fact is frank u dont even know what u are talking about, the lawyers letters were sent to all the councillors regarding the secretary going to lose her job, when the situation came up from the chairman putting this forward that's when i informed him that we all had lawyers letters on this matter, nothing to do with barlow or anything, and as far as having to do with him going off it was well after that and it was because he could get nowhere with the body of the hall, who were all blasting at him, so get ur facts right, and that's me finnished with the matter lets get on with racing pigeons,
