    try masonary paint,
  3. give it a good coat of masonry paint, also you can give the outside the same and sprinkle sand on it before it dries,
  4. good richard i'll have the usual 2 one for THE FIFER and one for THE WEE FIFER,
  5. yes 1 for THE FIFER and 1 for THE WEE FIFER,
  6. if they are paired and u dont let them rear i think this makes the birds a bit unsettled, keep them happy is my view.
  7. well done, once again a good deed by the pigeon fanciers

well done m8,keep up the good work
  9. some national races put rubbers on ets rung birds, but idont think you need ur clock set you only have to produce the rubber if ure bird is in the running, i personally cant see the reason for this, but if thats what they want then it must be,
  10. dont see any reason for some races not allowing ets, yes if some members dont have ets you will have to get rubbers for them,
  11. yes and theres no having to right all the rubbers numbers along side the birds ring number and keep them safe etc to check on race night, and keep them til the end of the season,
  12. its looking good,
  13. so what will you save on rubbers each year,
  14. those clocks are out of date so you would have a good chance with a grant, we got ets clocks last year, and we can now apply for another grant for something else
  15. you can apply to the lottery each year, you dont just get it once and thats that, plus i dont see any reason for ure club not applying,
  16. will keep you a couple,
  17. yes its only if you lose birds you lose rings, but if not they are there for good to use year after year, if a club is putinf 4-5 hundred birds away each week with rubbers it works out a few quid at the end of the year, so clubs are saving as they dont have to buy rings, the members yes but i still think the good things about ets make it all worth it, and all we have to do is try not to lose many birds, and make sure the birds you are puting them on are worth it.
  18. not if all members are on ets, they would only have to buy them if some were still using the other clocks, as no one is forced to use ets, our club all have ets and it saves a lot of work and time, no sheets to write out or putting rubbers on birds, or having to take them off when they come home,
  19. well you can but dont have too we dont that's one of the good things about ets no setting clocks or puting in rolls and ink pads, also when you get ur time from an ets all times are correct no geusing where pointers are on conventional clocks, or working out slow or fast clocks, also now ets works out the velocity, as said well worth the price of rings, you only lose them if you lose birds,
  20. only by the clocksetters who have all the data and equipment, when rings are assigned to a member their union number is put into thre ring, and can only be changed by the setters with the equipment,
  21. yes, most rings are lost by puting them on young birds for training, better not puting them on til they are well on the way, but i think if the bird is worth puting into a race its worth a ring, also it is still on the plans yet but they are trying to get the ets inserted in the union ring so it will be just the one ring, i think the all the good things about ets out bids the price of the ring,
  22. I as usual will have the minatures but sorry they are all whisky, BLACK LABEL.
  23. it costs money for the rings, but look at the money the club saves not having to buy rubbers which can only be used once, ets are used year after year, you lose them if you lose birds,
  24. many happy returns Rose, all the best,
  25. click on the pics and you will get a larger view.
