    thieves

put some strong thin trip wire around your garden, also the scarecrow water jet you get for cats is also very good for soaking intruders, put the wires zig-zag and about 9-10 inces high.
  7. if the hen is laying, its ok, so just refund him for the cock,
  8. photos are in this weeks RP.

    ETS

cant do that if sealed correct as the end plug is sealed so you cant add to it,
  10. i see what you mean, dont know the rpra rules on lofts but with shu if lofts are (cant remember the exact length) a certain distance apart they are classed as one loft, if more than this distance they are classed as 2 lofts ie, loft 1 and loft 2, so in the latter you would be allowd to have 2 clocks as birds are registered to the different lofts,
  11. has the BHW got a GAZETTE ? the RP has, I have 2 cases of them going back years,
  12. we have a member in our club Rose who has ets and he has open door, and has his pads fixed so birds time in, but there is advantage on both sides, there was always an advantage with those who had stall traps to those who had to go into the loft and catch the bird and get the rubber off and clock it, but no matter what clock your bird must be home,
  13. the RACING PIGEON, clearer printing, colour photos and good reading, and yes the bhw is cheaper so it should be its full of adverts, printing is dull, and some of the scribes write-ups are the same as whats in the RP, and the pigeon basics stall and members photos at Blackpool will be coming up in it short

    ETS

they should be put in position and sealed by officials, before racing
  15. but surely the birds will fall over ??? wont be able to stand,
  16. [/img] if there is only a few why not just take the clocks home and take the printouts,
  17. dont think you can get 12 volt printers, there is a gadget you can convert 12 volts to 240
  18. yes agree usually single birds, and more so if no nest felt or starw in the nest, i used to put a bean bag in with singles, keeps them from streching out, i think it is also the parents sitting them makes them spread their legs, the old type narroe bottom bowls were best,
  19. they are short beak tumblers
  20. no rose with ETS u can time in as many as you want, what i was saying is only being allowed to have 3 pads, limits u to the size of ur entry, or stall traps as they are fixed and u must have them where the birds drop in, if you had say 3 lofts with 1 pad on each you would only be able to have a 2 hole stall trap on each, where with the conventional clock you could have stall traps with as many holes as you want,
  21. I think once an organisation see it working in other organisations they will have a different view,
  22. I often wondered why so many were against ETS, myself included, but now I have seen it in use and now my club has them I would'nt be without it, its a lot easier for marking and taking off also doing the birds good not getting caught everytime they drop in from a race, you know when all your birds arrive and what ones are still to com, you get a printout of your birds after basketting, and a printout of our birds timed and now with the velocities on each bird, yes its great,
  23. its passed for use by all members,
  24. what do you class as in the wilds, ? is peoples back gardens in the wilds ? i dont think its nature for birds of pray being in towns and back gardens, in the country yes,
